Treforest Youth v Ystrad Mynach Youth 11/11/07

Treforest 7 Ystrad Mynach 2

This was an impressive win for the ever improving Tref under 18s. The home side were on the score sheet on 13 minutes when Scott Badman beat two players and played an astute ball to Jamie White who slotted the ball home. The hosts were dominating the match and further goals followed from Ben James and Alex Cahill before Ystrad scored following a quick attack from flank. This did nothing to deter the home team and they responded with a 4th shortly before half time, to give a comfotable lead at lemon time.

The second half mirrored the first and Tref. continued to play lovely football at pace, resulting in 2 more goals in quick succession from James and Liam Egan. To their credit Ystrad battled on, and they scored on 65 minutes to bring the score to 6 -1.

Treforest however were not content, and on 75 minutes an excellent move started by Sam Long which involved Scott Badman and Ben James resulted in a cracking goal from Alex Egan.

Tref's manager, John Truelove was delighted with this performance after an indifferent start to this campaign, and these lads are now beginning to play some excellent football.
