U12's - Treforest versus Pheonix

Under 12's - Treforest 6 Pheonix 1

Following a 5 week break Treforest found themselves up against the only team who have beaten them this year.

After a good start, Pheonix struck the opener on 6 minutes following somefine interplay. With the Treforest back line turned the Pheonix attack put both centre halves under pressure and struck early to go one up.

Despite the setback Treforest continued to play neat football and were soon on level terms when Tom Haggett broke from midfield to beat the impressive visiting keeper.

Treforest continued in search of goals and were rewardedwith two in quick succession. First went to Callum Holden dispatching low to the keepers left, followed by a class strike from Josh Bakers to go to the break 3-1.

Despite a spirited performance from Pheonix, the second half saw Treforest dominate and turn their possession into goals. Strikes from Luke Clarke (2) and Callum Holden saw the home team run out deserved 6-1 victors.

All eyes now turn to Treforest's League Cup semi-Final with BTM at the WhiteTips Stadium this coming Saturday 12pm Kick-off.

Treforest U13's 1 - Cascade 3

Treforest U13's 1 v 3 Cascade YC
Saturday 2nd February 2007
League Fixture

Today’s game proved to be a tough test for the Treforest U13's. Cascade were a very well drilled side and looked sharp and keener to win the match from the opening minutes. Treforest battled well in the first half and took a 1.0 lead into half time, with Callum Riella scoring on abreak out from the midfield. Goal keeper Cai Morgan kept the Treforest side in the game with several clearances to keep Cascade at bay.

The second half proved too tough for a battling Treforest team with Cascade scoring three times to take all three points. The boys know they played under par and will, I'm sure, look to bounce back and prove to themselves how well they can play as a team.
